Family life can be both rewarding and challenging. When communication feels strained or emotions run high, it can leave everyone feeling disconnected and unsure of how to move forward. Family counselling offers a space to slow down, understand one another, and rebuild connection.
At Asedá Counselling, I support families navigating intergenerational conflict, parenting challenges, emotional disconnection, and behavioural concerns in children and teens. I also offer guidance for parents raising neurodiverse children or exploring their own neurodiversity. As a 1.5 generation immigrant and parent, I understand how cultural differences, generational gaps, and family expectations can create tension and misunderstanding.
Using Bowen Family Systems Theory and Emotion Focused Family Therapy, we explore patterns that keep families stuck and strengthen the emotional bond between members. Together, we build communication, empathy, and confidence to navigate life’s challenges with more balance and understanding.
